Money and economy in Spain

Definition of money: Money is a good that acts as a medium of exchange in transactions. Classically it is said that money acts as a unit of account, a store of value, and a medium of exchange.

Whether you like money or not, if you don´t want to go back in time where 7 goats could be exchanged for 1 horse, you probably need it. Money is the ´evil necessity´ to pay for the rent, our needs and the means to fulfill many of our dreams.

Money makes the world go round is the credo on which our economy is based. If you have the money everything is funny is a modern and conceited saying. Nevertheless, it is less funny when you have to starve of hunger every month in order to make ends meet.

In our society, schools teach us to reproduce information. If we do this correctly we are allowed –at God´s grace- to go to University and once we graduate, our financial future is set…. Well, that -of course- is a load of bull.

Other ideas like; ´buying a house is an investment´, ´ you can´t learn how to become rich´, ´banks look after your financial matters´ and ´investing in financial markets always implies risk´ are other fairy tales.

At school we are not taught to create capital, to grow rich and to let the money work for us, instead of us working for the money. We are taught to work hard, contract debts so we have to work even harder. Do not tell me these are uninteresting topics. If that is you opinion, we kindly redirect you towards http://www.communism.net/

If you are well integrated in sunny Spain, you earn about €1000-1500 net per month. If you would like to spend the days to come with more dinero then it´s time to update you prehistoric knowledge on economics and financial matters. That is where this Blog comes in. There are plenty of possibilities in this country and all you might need is a person highlighting them for you.

Regarding the economy: it is like football or a Spanish gossip programme on television: everybody had an opinion, everybody pretends to be an expert but very few have a clue.
That clue is labeled ´money matters in Spain´.
